Show 16-The Thespians return after a very succcessful northern trip. Preston, Idaho, however was not visited.18-A Senior countenance characterizes University students. The Pros, spring their pre-Christmas vacation examinations.19-Senior miners take trip to Garfleld concentrating mill. Junior miners have "one slipped over" in the shape of geology quizz.20-Supt. D. H. Christensen urges 'U" students to become teachers.21-Tryout for Colorado debating teams.22-Honor Day. Chesty athletes don their letters. "Happy" gets four.23-School closes for Christmas vacation.January, 19122-Dramatic club at Springville. Bob Sharp passed up at Lehi, L. Bccles gets to theater at 7:00 p. m. after fatiguing day of changing cars. Hugo Price takes club for sleigh ride after the show, and then feeds them at his home. 10 degrees below zero.3-The Actors go to Spanish Fork by sleigh. Girls of club entertain boys at hotel after the show. 1 A. M. Ted Hull called down the management (the little huzzy) for getting her out of bed to answer the telephone (John).7-Manager Williams brings his charges safely home after a triumphant conquest. 8-School opens after holidays.Basketball candidates meet for first practice.9-Track candidates try out the new indoor running track.10-Final try-out for Colorado debating teams-Nelson, Ashman, Richards, Cummings and Thomas chosen.11-Basketball. High School, 70; U. Preps., 28.12-Dramatic club rally. "Oh, you great big beautiful doll," sung by club in honor of Miss Lucile Rogers.13-The Thespians from the "Brain Mill on the Hill" do credit to the dramatic act. Everyone a star.14-Before the U Techs, Carlos Bard-well radiates on radium. Laubly discusses the Los Angeles aqueduct.15-C J. Duncan, noted field expert of German Kali works, visits University to obtain information regarding potash deposits in Utah.16-Miss McCanne entertains Junior class at a work party.17-Dr. Brimhall speaks at chapel on "Good for Somethingness."18-Manager Williams entertains the Dramatic club.19-Senior engineers demand cross hammers on their class pins. This does not signify that they are knockers.20-Another Junior work party. Miss Florence wins the Hart.22-Dr. Ebaugh writes us a letter from Germany. He declares that the duelling, beer-guzzling German student can't compare with the high-minded, industrious, American college man.23-Prof. Beckstrand, expounding the opportunities of the engineer, says we cannot all pick plums that fall from cherry trees.24-Bob Flagel, assistant treasurer of the Engineering society, warmly roasts the financial delinquents.25-Everybody stops to read the mid year examination schedule. "Move on," says the cop.26-Miss Van Cott gives a matinee dance. The committee of 100 ;is present.27-Basketball. U. of U., 37; Y. M. C. A., 25.29-Lunt expelled from the Library for disturbing those who wish to cram for the mid-year exams.30-WL E. Goodspeed and Wick Stephens succumb to the "Back to the Farm Movement." Sororities give sumptuous entertainment at the Alpha Pi house.6-Scribblers and Gleamers entertain in the rest room. Chocolate, women, and song.7-Musical society gives matinee dance.8-Fraternities hold open house.
