Show I)K.\aiA GNAWS ON MAT "Thatch" Thatcher's brain is seen bulging. The Mat impresario hypnotizes his victims with poetry. Utonian newsgathercrs were struck forcibly by the unique resemblance of one Paul Thatcher to the half-human, half-ghastly, half-dead, one-third living creature-Dracula. This Dracula attacks his victims in a far subtler way-he wrestles with them. He never wins a match- it is always a draw-an old Draculian custom. Dracula Thatcher is well over six feet in height yet wrestles in the 135 pound class. He has a majestic hyoid development and a drooping eyelid, which nutters over his cheekbone. One sees this Dracula wearing his Saturday evening-combed-hair packing a questionable briefcase half hidden by a Napoleonic cape-coat with napping sleeves. His arms folded, his legs agape, his floating kidneys adrift-children beware!-this vampire sleeps in the daytime and preys at night. Roman Romano Romanelli is seen jesting under the spell of Yukon with his little daughter, Jesta. Fleas I think that I shall never see A grade as lovely as a "B," A "B" whose many points impress Where "D's" or "E's" or even less Have made us look at God all day And lift our weary arms to pray. A "B" whose grace will let us rate The grades we need to graduate. Poems are made by fools each day But only God can make an "A." "Say, get off my feet." "If you'd put them where they belong, I wouldn't be standing on them." "Don't tempt me, woman." Fond Mother (to her crying offspring) : Well-does my little sugar plum want a drink? 1931 Baby: Don't mind if I do. What have you got? 339 |
