The best part of the whole "festival" to most people was the dance at Lagoon where everyone stood around and watched the charming senior be crowned queen of the year's last big event. But many other things go into making up a year for the Greek. All the letter groups have at least one formal a year. Some have more. The big events occur in lodges and resorts everywhere from Brighton to Ogden Canyon, and they're usually climaxed by the presentation of queen or king to do the presiding. Of course, the normal prevail' ence of parties held their place throughout the year. Swimming, drinking, and just general fun-making can govern the occasions no matter what the mode or style. Rushing, formals, and dancing all go into the Greeks' social whirl. |
