Show Mortar Board Senior Women's honorary organization W!%m*£M.....:-Mm%.:'v: V:- ¦«¦ W '%¦*< ¦«;: & -i ,-:*¦ w--:-4--*i\::i-,.......-ftem.;**.....»*?* The outstanding girls wearing the Mortar Board pin are selected on the basis of service, scholarship, and leadership. Mortar Board promotes college loyalty, advances the spirit of service and fellowship among university women, maintains a high standard of scholarship, recognizes and encourages leadership, and stimulates and develops a finer type of college woman. Under the leadership of Julie Goates, president; Sherie Howell, vice president; Connie Jo Mathews, secretary; Jean Mollinet, treasurer, Corinne McKenna, historian; and Virginia Steenblik, editor; Mortar Board has sponsored such things as the annual Mortar Board Fashion Show, a Smarty Party, a Thanksgiving service project, and worked with AWS and the WRA Carnival.
