Show Utah's Symphony Orchestra The Utah Symphony's ten subscription concerts in the Tabernacle became increasingly popular this last year. Ogden followed suit, too, with a five concert season. Added to this were thirteen weekly broadcasts, three "pops" concerts, five youth concerts, and more than a dozen engagements including music for the ballets, operas, and the Summer Festival. Last fall, in addition to their usual concert performances, they collaborated to record Handel's "Israel.in Egypt" for Westminster Hi-Fi. The Symphony also recorded the Saint Saens "Organ Symphony" and three Gershwin favorites. All of these records have received national acclaim, and musically minded people throughout the U. S. are looking to Salt Lake City with awe and inspiration.
