WEll, I bought it from John Papanikolas, you know. And it was funny. I was a salesman in Montana. I went to work for this Fred er. Went to Montana. I was always broke. Didn't have any money. And s o , I'd - this friend of mine. This D. Wimmer and the old man, I think, why I'd be broke in Butte, Montana. Now, Butte, Montana's a hell of a town to be broke in. But I'd go in a hotel and I'd write him a check but I'd sign my friend Wimmer's name - he worked for Kennecott, or my DAd's. And- you know, they 'd go through the Magna bank. Well, this Less Larsen, he knew everybody by heart. He knew me. He knew D. Wimmer andhe knew my Dad. And he knew that wasn't their signature. I didn't try to forge anything. I just - signed their name. Andi went back and he said,"You know, you can't do that." And I said,"Why, it's allright with them. They're not complaining of it." And he said, "No, but it's against the law. You're breaking the law. I can have you arrested." And t ___ make it good, thee check good. And then when I get paid, I'd pay them back. I did this. So when it comes time to buy this home, this Les Larsen says, "I'm not going to give you a GI loan. This bank is not going to give you the money for the loan." So I told John Papanikolas, you know, Steel. I said, John I can't buy that home. He said, "Why not?" I said, Les Larsen won't ok the loan. And he says, "I'll findout about it." So he called me |
