Show D. DAVNF.S W. ARMSTRONG L. MURDOCK FRESHMAN CLASS HISTORY THE Freshmen have been enthusiastic supporters of all activities, backing every school and class function to the limit. In athletics some very promising material has come to light. The work ot the football team was especially noteworthy, as it defeated all comers, which included the Aggie Freshmen and the better high school teams of this part of the country. A very good showing was also made in basketball, track, baseball, swimming, tennis, boxing and hiking. In the future the school will have at its command many stellar athletes in all these sports. Besides the usual activities, something new was put over this year, the Frosh "Sirkus". Many novel, interesting and entertaining features were introduced in addition to the regular old-time circus bill. The "Sirkus" served as a student body pep rally on the eve of the U. of U.-A.C. football game. In social affairs the Freshman class is second to no other organization. The social season of the school year was started with a large get-acquainted party in the John R. Park building. The year of 1921 was started right by a big dance given in January. At the conclusion of the winter Quarter all celebrated at a Masquerade Ball, the first party of this nature to be given at the University for many years. As a climax for a year of good times the members of the class enjoyed a canyon party of never-to-be-forgotten success. Page 76 |
