Show JUNIOR CLASS HISTORY A FTER the class elections, the officers proved their worth by starting ¦**¦ the year out right with an informal party at the Newhouse Hotel, November fifth. Everybody had an enjoyable time-those Freshmen girls were certainly clever. We hoped we would have another Junior-Freshmen party. On the football field the Juniors had their own way, having six men make the Varsity. And that many more filled positions on the squad, Just before the Christmas holidays the Owl and Key pledged the popular Juniors who were to make the Skai B Society. This caused some excitement among the student body, but not nearly so much as what happened about two months later. The Junior basketball squad took the Senior class team down to defeat in the basketball class series, thus adding another accomplishment to the long list of activities of the class. A work party was held at the Sigma Chi house, February nineteenth; everybody succeeded in working themselves into a good time, but as far as the decorations for the Prom were concerned, we wonder who made them. The annual Junior Promenade was held February twenty-fifth at the Hotel Utah. The Prom speaks for itself, it needs no comment here. Summing up, all in all the year was a big success for the class, and the future for the largest Senior class in the history of the University for the coming school year appears to be bright Page 68 |
