Show SENIOR CLASS HISTORY A fter four years of stormy and hard sailing the class of '21 has come ¦**¦ through with a broad smile and is now ready to assume its little responsibility as a group of law-abiding citizens. Many of the students graduating this year did not enter the university as '2iers. Their first year in the institution found them labelled '18, '19 or '20. After serving with the nation's forces for variable periods the boys came back to affiliate themselves with new classes, many of them falling in with this year's graduating class. Thus it may be said that the class of '21 is a "jolly-good" mixture of wartime students. Working under financial difficulties this year, owing to the assumption which the class took of last year's Junior Prom debt, the Seniors of this year have been considerably handicapped, especially along a social line. Nevertheless several good meetings and parties have come to pass. Saturday evening, January 15 of this year, a class dance was given in the ball room of the Newhouse Hotel. About one hundred couples were in attendance. Dr. and Mrs. P. G. Snow, Professor and Mrs. Roland B. Lewis and Professor and Mrs. W. T. Runzler acted as chaperones. After several almost fruitless attempts to secure a big representation of the class at the regular mid-day meetings, a successful meeting was held the evening of April 20 in the Park Building. In addition to the regular business before the class, musical numbers, refreshments and dancing were enjoyed. Late in the last quarter the annual reception was tendered the Senior class by Dr. and Mrs. John A. Widtsoe. The Fifty-second Annual Commencement exercises were held Tuesday morning, June seventh.
