Owing to the frosty summers and lack of water the results of farm and garden work here are dis-cnuryg. The school plant is comparatively new and in good condition, and the atten ance about up to the capacity, which is 60. The parents generally are favor-able to the education of their childrm. Ho~lbapa Valley, Ca1.-The buildings are genemlly old, incommodious, and out of repair.
