Silvery- gray, varied With curious reflexions. Head* coarsely and densely punctate; the largest punctpres between the eyes; palpi flavous, prothorax nearly quadrangular; widest before, produced posteriorly into an obtuse angle; surface punctate with three foveas, across the ' middle, the central forming a triangle ^ rith two others in contact with it posteriorly. Head, rather narrower than the prothdrax, with fovea in a transverse line, the external one orbital and placed before the middle of the eyeVthe next midway between this and the medial one-, which is more shallow than the others, and in advance of them. There are three additional prbital fovea posterior to the first, and several upon the posterior angles, which are strongly and sparsely punctate. Mandibles strong and incurved, with a stout tooth near the base, external margin with a groove for about half its length. Pronotum with four distant punctured arranged longitudinally |
