Show at the heads of ravines and spring- branches of Crow Creek. Pines, fir, cotton- wood, for timber j currants and hawthorn v boshes, and low bush, black cherries. CAMP NO. 27- Bown left bank; trees, ended; willows for fuel; the creek sinks into the sand just below. The road from this point should stiikt* eti& twurdly, crowing several small brunches, nnd finally follow down Lodge I^ le Creek, to the South Fork or the Platte Kiver. x CROW BRANCH- Fasaiog north, into the Cheyenne Pass, along the foot of the Black Hills on the west, and a table- land, two hundred feet above the level of the road, two miles to the right Lottos POLS BEANCH- Supposed brunch of Lodge Pole Creek; 8 feet wide; no fuel in the pfkss; but at the kanyon, abundant LODGE Pout CREEK- About two miles below Kanyon Creek; 8 feet wide. NOOK HALT- Bear Creek, a branch of Lodge Pole Creek; water in pools. HORSE CRBBK- Supposed south branch. .... HORSE CREEK- Main branch; 4feet wide i. NORTH BRANCH- Having crossed a marsh rivulet...
