At 5 o'clock we got to 'Villow creek, and encamped for the night ; anct made a new axle· tree. In our wc~y to day one of the men cut his leg very b~Hl with a knife, which so lamed him that he hacl to ride in one of the canoes. Tl:u rs·d~zy 24th. This was a cloudy morning. I ·was \'cry much indisposed last night and am yet VCI'Y umvelL I therefore staid at this camp, and the party went back for two more canoes.
