Between now and 2040, our residents will have the opportunity to take civic pride in their communities and will actively help shape action on the issues that contribute to a livable region. Planning processes will encourage, respect, and incorporate contributions from people of all backgrounds, ethnicities, cultures, and ages. The region's strong history of advocacy by neighborhood, civic, and business organizations will continue, and these organizations will contribute to public policy decisions. Our residents will do volunteer work that contributes to the well-being of the region, and they will participate in government by voting in each election.
