Show 112 Helen got Jon by the arm and began shuffling Joseph and Andrew out the door. "He makes people feel better," Helen said to Jon. "What does it matter?" Jon glanced at me as Helen led him out. "She's not dead yet," I said to Jon. "Let's get over to Jinxies," Red said to me when he got back. "They met Stanley outside church and he's going to take them to see Bush and them bring them home." I called Bush and let her know, then we went over to Jinx's and Pat Jinx, Big Dick's wife, went over to our place with Stinky's little sister Becca Jinx to watch Neda £a till Helen got back. Then we got in Big Dick's car, Big Dick and Red in the front and me and Stinky in the back, and took off for Cleveland on Interstate 90 which was a brand new freeway and already falling apart. It was a nice day, cool and sunny v/ith big puffy v/hite autumn clouds coming in from a£ over iaaxiaka Lake Erie and Big Dick Jinx with his big hands and big jaw all excited about the kxM Browns especially Jim Brown and Bobby Mitchel who v/as going to run around the Six Giants just like Stinky ran around everybody, and Stinky sitting in back with me with his crew cut and his mother's scarf beaming like one of Santa Claus's elves saying "actually, I'm kind of excited, I mean, I've been in football games but I've never really seen a iaaiki football game, I hope the crowd is dressed fashionably," and Red in the front seat £aai starting to feel bad because he was going to the game for free in Big Dick's car on Big Dick's gas and v/as going to have to deal with the whole dilemna of beer and hot dogs in the stadium and feeling more and more pissed about taking charity, and then there's me in the back seat with $350 in my pocket and a kxan NIKON camera HHaaxxxxxxixiax under the seat of Karl's truck. We took 1-90 right into Cleveland and got off at the stadium which sat right on the lake. Red and Big Dick fought over who should pay for parking and Red finally won. Then we walked through the lot and into the stadium by the pennant sellers and hat sellers and food vendors until we got to the beer where Big Dick bought one each for xaxax&xR him and Red. Stinky got cherry pop and temporarily I didn't get anything. Our seats were okay, underneath the second deck and on the thirty vard lxine. There were a million col^ors in the stands |
