Show 96 Strongs and Boldens had built their homes after the Second World War, and where the new rich now built their houses v/ith swimming pools and tennis aaxxx courts. The area was built in a big circle and the deeper you circled in the richer it got. After we got a good feel for the neighborhood we didn't drive around in it anymore. We'd spotted several places that had a lot of cover around them and accessible windov/s and we'd drawn maps on how to get''them from the ix campus of the nearby Catholic college where we parked the truck. Then we walked through a little grotto that had a big stone altar to the Blessed Virgin and where the nuns spent their evenings pruning bushes and changing the flowers on the altar. Twice a week we said how do you do to the nuns until the weather got bad and they didn't come out so much. They loved seeing us and thought axxaxaxkx^xxixaxxagMxaxxkxxHX xxxx we were just a regular happy pair. Hello sister. Good evening, enjoying your walk? We certainly are, this is a beautiful campus. Oh, it certainly is. We even chipped in a few prayers, because I'd put in a lot of time in front of statues and knew just how to act. The fact that Karl displayed his paganism so xa plainly was all for the better because xxxaakaaxxxka it made me look like an open-minded Catholic evangelist. So we spent some weeks in the bushes taking notes; Stja v. ho came, who went, when and how often, as regular as ants. We watched what lights went on when for whom and figured out what room was for what and where the bedrooms were and who was in them. One of the places we cased was Bobby Hansen's, a kid in my class at Southeast whotfas as clean and white as a girl's First Communion S shoes and whose whole family played sports, sports, xxxi sports, basketball, baseball, tennis, golf, xaxxxx except for his younger sister who was, of course, a cheerleader. We hit them the night of Southeast's first iaaikaxixgaxa city league football game. The v/hole family shuffled into their Oldsmobile station wagon and glistened off to the ball game. We gave them a half-hour injcase one of them forgot their bleacher pillow or something and then slipped into the parents' bedroom window, cutting axaxxxxaxxxx open the pane near the window lock with a glass cutter. We stayed right with the top drawers. Left everything real neat. |
