Show PLANT LIFE Because the soils around the Great Salt Lake vary greatly, from sand dunes to marshes, there is also a great variety in the plant life in the area. Figure 57 shows the location of the vegetative types in the area. Table 4 under " Soils of the Great Salt Lake Area" gives more detailed information concerning the location and nature of soils producing the various kinds of vegetation.
