The impact and probability of various production levels is shown in Table 22. On July 20, 1973, the Division of State Lands issued a statement reporting an income to the State from mineral salt leases on the Great Salt Lake of $ 1,519,623.42. ( This figure reflects a lack of first quarter 1973 information for some leases.) Mineral salt leases exist for which production royalties have never been paid ( production never having occurred), but which have been assessed an annual rental of $ .50 per acre. Income from rental payments under these leases was, at the time of the statement, $ 555,311.60. The following mineral salt leases have paid both production royalties and rental income to the State as of the end of the first quarter of 1973. |
