Show 147 bird- watching, hunting, fishing, racing of boats and cars, rock climbing on Antelope Island, pleasure driving, camping, visiting national and state historic sites and enjoying amusement park attractions at Lagoon. Table 31 shows the percentage of visitors participating in various activities in 1974. Table 32 shows the dependency of residents on the Great Salt Lake area for those activities available there. The following developments and services have been suggested to promote recreational activity at the Lake: 1. Sanitary facilities 2. Culinary water 3. Garbage pickup 4. Search and rescue system 5. Swimming beaches 6. Heated swimming pools 7. Resort complexes-- eating and sleeping facilities 8. Amusement parks 9. Indus trial- educational facilities 10. Trails 11. Marinas 12. Primitive areas 13. Campgrounds 14. Picnic areas 15. Diking to develop freshwater lakes and stabilize water levels 16. Scenic roads on dikes 17. Tour boats 18. Scenic overlooks 19. Miniature golf courses 20. Hot water mineral baths 21. Artificial surf 22. Bicycle trails 23. Nature study areas 24. Visitor center 25. Health spa 26. Aquariam 27. Gift shops 28. Yachting lodge 29. Gondola 30.
