Show 6647 4637 H. J. Howland- D Q How did you get them up to Greenriver? A Brought them up in the boat. Q State what if any difficulties you encountered on that trip. A We had none, no difficulties whatever. Q Were had none, no difficulties whatever. Q Were you ever in the lower Colorado? A Yes sir. Q Who was with you on that trip? A Well, I think it was the fall of 1921 I was down there with Mr. Wimmer. He was supplying those survey out-fits from Halls Crossing there by boat, hauled supplies in to Halls Crossing. I think there was four outfits of surveyors in there at that time, if I recollect right. Q did you make any trips up the river from Halls Crossing? A About fifteen or twenty miles, I guess; we made several trips up there above Halls Crossing. Q What was the purpose of those trips? A There for a while just going up looking for Chenoewith's outfit; then when we located him, took him up |
