[May 8, from the description given in the • Faune de l'Oceanie;' it does not at all suit the figure in the ' Species General des Lepidopteres ;' it is therefore not impossible that I m a y have redescribed one or two of Dr. Boisduval's insects on account of" the incomplete manner in which they are noticed. I have, however, carefully gone through all our specimens of Euplcea with his descriptions, and in most cases have, I think, satisfactorily determined the species which they represent. 89. Alar supra nigro-fuscar, anticar ad marginem paulo pallescente, stria interna nitida, maculis quinque punctoque uno subapicalibus, maculis duabus submarginalibus, una subtriangulari alteruque magna claviformi, albis, punctis nonnullis minimis marginalibus valde indistinctis: posticar costa pallida, fascia maculari submarginali punctisque nonnullis marginalibus ochreo-albis: corpus nigro-fuscum, antice albo punctatum, antennis nigris. Alar subtus pallidiores, anticar margine interno pallido, maculis velut supra, punctis quatuor apicalibus, quatuor marginalibus mediis, uno discali interno, uno post cellar extimum unoque costali albis, uno in cella subviolaceo : posticar costa ochrea basi albo punctata, punctis quinque discalibus unoque ad cello: extimum carruleis, maculis submarginalibus velut supra : corpus nigrum albo punctatum, antennis nigris.
