Alar supra fuscar: anticar fascia lata fulva, ante venam submcdia-nam terminata ; macula subapicali fulva : posticar fuscar imma-culatar, ciliis albis; cauda media elongata, spathata; cauda anali vix distinguenda. Alar subtus fasciis maculisque fuscis nigro variis maculisque plurimis argenteis ; anticar fascia sic-ut supra, sedprarargentata. Exp. alar. unc. 3|. Hab. Surinam. 2. HYPNA GLOBOSA, sp. n. (PI. XXIII. fig. 1.) Alar anticar fuscar, basi viridescentes, fascia media venam subme-dianam attingente, maculis sub a pic alibus fulvis; posticar maculis subapicalibus fulvis, cauda media vix spathata, cauda anali parva brevi. Exp. alar. unc. 3-^. Hab. Bolivia. B.M. Section 2. Alar costis paulum convexis, anticar apice uncato; posticce margine apicali ante caudam paulum excavato, cauda anali distincta. 3. HYPNA HUEBNERI, sp. n. (PI. XXIII. figs. 2, 3.) Hypna clytemnestra, Hiibner, Samml. exot. Schmett. Bandii. pi.? f. 1, 2. Papilio clytemnestra, Lucas, Lep. Exot. pi. 64. f. 1. Alar supra fuscar; anticar basi viridescentes, fascia lata fulva venam submedianam attingente, maculis subapicalibus fulvis; posticar macidis submarginalibus fulvis lineaque nigra de vena mediana prima ad marginem analem currente, caudis valde dis-tinctis. Exp. alar. unc. 3\. Hab. Brazil and Panama. B.M. &c. Note.-This is the most common of all the species of Hypna, and has usually stood in collections as ZZ". clytemnestra of Cramer; it is, however, quite different in form, and rather dissimilar in coloration.
