Show pertaining to the above title as applied to Schedule A. For their better visualization, the overall results shown by those tables are here assembled in Table 7, which also includes the results of applying Schedule B. For each stage of development, there is presented complete numerical data as to population, irrigated area, depletion by irrigation, domestic use, water exportation, channel losses, and, finally, the stream depletion which is the algebraic sum of all of the preceding items. These complete data are given for the Upper Basin, Lower Basin, Upper and Lower basins combined, and for the Gila basin. The latter is given because of its special significance although it is, of course, a part of the Lower Basin and is included in the tabular data for that basin. Table 7 tells the complete numerical story of the stream flow consumed by cultural developments, more definitely than could any written discussion of the matter, and it is, therefore, submitted without further comment." [p. 171] "Explanations of Tables "The tables that follow contain the detailed calculations leading to a determination of the surplus waters of the Colorado River system. The data present the surplus waters for five stages of development as follows: ti "Virgin, representing conditions prior to any development. This is found by adding to the run-off for each year at the lower end of each sub-basin, the total depletions each year in that sub-basin, giving what the run-off for that year would have been had there been no developments to deplete the stream flow." |
