Show -9- 8. Question. How much of the cost allocated to irrigation features is to be repaid by the use of the interest component on cost of power features? Answer. During a 75-year repayment period, commercial power revenues would provide for the payment of interest in the amount of $341,212,000 ($405,780,000), as has been stated in the answer to question 7. Of the $349,256,000 ($415,343,000) of construction cost appropriately allocable to irrigation, the interest component of power revenues would be called upon to assume payment of as much as $341,212,000 ($405,780,000) or as little as $323,219,000 ($392,152,000), depending upon disposition of revenues from municipal water in excess of those required for operation, maintenance, replacement, and capital costs allocated to municipal water. 9. Question. Are the farmers to pay for their water distribution or drainage works? Answer. Assuming that operation and maintenance costs and reserve for replacement apportioned to irrigation would first be deducted from revenues collected from the sale of irrigation water, then the balance of those revenues, estimated to be $5,235,000, would be applied to repayment of project costs allocated to irrigation, including the cost of distribution and drainage works. 10.
