Show found and referred to the Attorney General. Forty-one cases of starting to drill without proper permits were found in the field. In these cases the owners immediately applied for permits to drill, and the same were issued where conditions warranted; otherwise the case was referred to the Attorney General for appropriate action. Groundwater Conditions. The withdrawals of ground water within the state increased from 3,700,000 acre-feet in 1952 to 4,800,000 acre-feet in 1953.
