Show 76 page 2 Transaction M-A Documentary stamps affixed to the deed of conveyance (Book H, Page 187, San Juan County, Utah records) covering the properties in Utah represented by this transaction were in the amount of $19.00. The fact that documentary stamps were affixed to each of the deeds covering properties conveyed by this transaction supports Mr. Balsey's statement that Vanadium Alloys Corp. made a breakdown of the values of the Colorado and Utah properties acquired under this transaction. The difference between the $53,000.00 sum of the $34,000.00 value assigned to the.Colorado properties and the $19,000.00 value assigned to the Utah properties and the $120,000.00 total consideration is ascribed to the fact that a mill and other improvements were included in the gross purchase. In view of Mr. Balsey's statement that the Vanadium Alloys Corp. did make a breakdown of values between the properties in Colorado and in Utah conveyed by the two deeds and the fact that such breakdown was indicated by documen* tary stamps affixed to each deed, the value for the 42 claims in Colorado of $34,000.00 as indicated by the amount of documentary stamps affixed to the corresponding deed is taken as the actual consideration for these 42 claims* |
