Dear Mr. Wilkinson; Pursuant to your request and in accordance with our agreement dated May 1, 194? we have completed our appraisal of the mineral resources and mineral rights (except coal, oil, gas and oil shale) in the lands involved in the suit entitled The Confederated Bands of Ute Indians. Plaintiffs, v. The United States of America. Defendant. United States Court of Claims No. 45585 and submit to you herewith our detailed report with respect to this appraisal. This report is contained in this volume and two separate volumes, Appendices A and B, and 15 additional maps <PV~225, 1~12; PV-226; PV-227; and Plate 1 from Bulletin 16 of the Colorado Geological Survey) not included in these volumes.
