Show And now came the dregs of the season. Nevada U, full veteran strong and without any ethics of conference regulation, beat the Crimson at Reno 28 to 7. As usual, Utah fought hard and lost chiefly due to the work of Bradshaw, Nevada's veteran quarterback. The showing of the Crimson was considered exceptional as Nevada had only a short time before, beaten the Utah Aggies by a much more impressive score. On November 12 fate held another disappointment for Utah. Utah outplayed Boulder in the annual game between the old rivals. Here it would be nice to stop. As it was after a certain referee had his say, the game was a scoreless tie. As it was in reality, Utah scored a touchdown twice. With a short time to go for the half, Utah shoved the ball clear over, as later shown by photos. Fate had one more disappointment for the season in store for Utah and that one was the saddest thing of all. The Aggies under the lead of Captain Louis Falck, beat the Crimson rather handily in the annual Thanksgiving classic by the count of 14 to 3. Crimson fumbles were directly responsible for both of the Aggies' scores. The first one left the ball in near goal territory from which point the Aggies converted. The second saw the ball bound off the ground on an intentional grounded play. An Aggie end scooped the ball up and tore off for a score which Referee Crowley allowed. Along side of these two breaks of the game Utah stacks up a well earned placement kick by Neil Smith, quarter. Well, that's the season. A fine team, said by many to be the best in the conference, half of its games won, one tied and two lost, not so bad, after all. ¦•¦:,;, "Niel" ¦'Gil" 'Phil' "Dutch" Mickey" Reid" "Floyd" 'Bish" Digital Image © 2007 University of Utah.
