Show dJVLen's Glee Cluh HE Men's Glee Club was organized during the first few weeks of the fall quarter by competitive try-outs, and a chorus of thirty-six voices selected from the large number of applicants. The club practiced faithfully to gain the mastery of a well-balanced repertoire?, and under the excellent direction of Professor Thomas Giles, their classic and popular numbers were rendered with a remarkable aptitude. The club's principal public appearances were at the Lumbermen's Convention in the Hotel Utah, the Musical Society concert, the president's inaugural, and the opera "Manon." They also appeared at the Armistice Day exercises, the faculty Hand-Shake and Carol, and during carol week at the Hippodrome. Tours were made in the northern part of the State to Logan, Brigham, and Ogden, and in the eastern part to Coalville and Park City. The members of the Men's Glee Club are: First Tenors, Herbert Bluck, Nelson Beatie, Henry Cox, George Robinson, Kenneth Robins, Paul Summer-hays, David Watts and Oliver Kinney. Second Tenors-John Beesley, Harry Nelson, Eric Pollard, Glen Watkins, Edwin Scobee, George Wood and Ariel Williams. First Bass-Donald Daynes, Hartland Halliday, Elmer Jenkins, Clifton Jacobsen, Ronald MacGregor, Emerson Willey, Edward White, Guy B. Rose, Lynn Richards, George Marchant, Dudley Walters, Alma Patterson, Rollin Smith and Ray Lyman.
