||LAWS OF UTAH. 239 14. Indemnity lond to Sheriff. Know all men by these presents: That we, A. B., C. D. and H. R. are held and firmly bound unto F. G., Sheriff' of the county of , &c, in the sum of lawful money of the United States, to be paid to the said F. G., his executors, administrators, or assigns; for which payment,, well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, our and each of our heirs, executors, and administrators, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents. Sealed with our seals, Dated this day of , one thousand eight hun- dred and Whereas the above bounden A. B. did obtain a judgment in the Court of , on the day of , 18 , against E. F., for dollars and cents, damages and costs, whereupon execution has been issued, directed, and delivered to F. G., Sheriff, as aforesaid, commanding him that, of the goods and chattels of the said E. F., he should cause to be made the.damages and costs aforesaid. And whereas certain goods and chattels that appear to belong to the said E. F. are claimed by L. M., of, &c: Now, therefore, the condition of this obligation is such that if the boundeu A. B. shall well and truly keep and bear harmless, and indemnify the said F. G., Sheriff as aforesaid, and all and every person and persons aiding and assisting him in the premises, of and from all harm, let, trouble, damages, costs, suits, actions, judgments, and executions that shall, or may, at any time arise, come, or be brought against him, them, or any of them, as well for the levying and makingsale, under and by virtue of such execution, of all or any goods and chattels which he or they shall or may judge to belong to the said E. F., as for entering any shop, store, building, <jr other premises, for the taking of any such goods and chattels, then this obligation to be void; else to remain in full force and virtue. You, as foreman of this grand inquest, shall diligently inquire, and true presentment make, of all such matters and things as shall be given to you in charge; the counsel of the people, of your fellows, and your own, you shall keep secret: you shall present no oue from envy, hatred, or malice; nor leave any one unpresented, for fear, favor, affection, reward, or the hope of reward; but you shall present all things truly, as they come to your knowledge, according to the best of your understanding. So Help you God. 16. Oath of Grand Jurors. The same oath your foreman has taketi on his part, you and each of you shall truly observe and keep on your part. So help you God.
