Description LAWS OF UTAH. 232 CHAPTER CLXXIX. MEMORIAL to Congress for a donation of Town Sites, in aid of a Common School Fund. To the Honorable the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States, in Congress assembled: Your Memorialists, the Governor and Legislative Assembly of the Territory of Utah, respectfully pray your Honorable Body to donate to this Territory the lands included in the recorded plots of the several Cities, Towns, and Villages of this Territory, to aid in laying the foundation for a Common School Fund for the benefit of the Territory and future State; said lands to be disposed of under such regulations as the Legislature may provide. George A. Smith, President of the Council. John Taylor, Speaker of the House of Representatives. Charles Durkee, Governor. ' CHAPTER CLXXX. MEMORIAL to Congress for appropriations for Roads. To the Honorable the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States, in Congress assembled. Your Memorialists, the Governor and Legislative Assembly of the Territory, of Utah in view of the'great increase of trafic between the Rocky Mountain Territories and the States east and west, respectfully ask your Honorable Body to appropriate one hundred thousand dollars, for making a good wagon road and brirdging streams between the Missouri River and Great Salt Lake City. Also fifty thousand dollars, for making a good wagon road between Great Salt Lake City and Callville, the head of navigation on the Colorado River. George A. Smith, President of the Gouncil. John Taylor, Speaker of the House of Rep's, Charler Durkee, Governor.
