He was the son or Peter Anderson and :\fartha Hansen, early settlers or ~lorgan County. At the age of 21 he was ordained a High Priest, 'et apart as second (~ ounselor to Bishop Joseph Robbins. He later served as counselor to Bishop Ezra Pa r r ish of Peterson \Vard . A farm er and rancher at Peterson, he commenced 'business as a wholesale produce dealer in 1901. In 1903, together wltb others tbey incor· poraled the Pingree Anderson Co., and purchased the flour mill at Morgan with a paid·up capital stock of $15,000. In 1904 he Incorporated the Weber Valley Produce Co. In 1904 he .4nci his brother Joseph :\L Anderson, and James Pingree ot Ogden incorporated the ~!organ Canning Co. with a capital or SI0,OOO. A work room was set up in Mrs. Anderson's home where lhese article~ and materials vdth patterns were packed . These Werd dis· tributed to the needy by ~!rs . Anderson and Annie S. Dickson, social aid 01 the board. They crawled through barbed-wire fences and we re chased by nog!, but de:b'ered all the bundles to tbe lamilies In need.
