(J aclt) Olsen, 78, of ·' Morgan, died Friday, Jan. 19, 1979, in a Salt Lake City hospital after a long illness. He was born July 27, 1900, in Mount Pleasant, a son of John Franklyn and Laura Christensen Olsen. He married Ina Beal in 1923. She died ' in 1938. He married LaMar Criddle. in 1939. He was a member of the LDS Church and: 'the' Morgan 1st LDS Ward. He came to Morgan in 1924 and opened an auto repair shop. Number Four opened Olsen Chevrolet in Layton. He owned and operated the Farm Implement and General Merchandise firm in Morgan. He also owned and operated a ranch in Wyoming. He managed the Olsen Investment Corp. and served on the board of directors for the Weber Basin Water Conservancy District. He was also a member of the Utah State Automobile Monitor Board. Surviving are his widow of Morgan; three daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Vest, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Kent (Shirley) Murdock' and Mrs. Sam (Bertie) Young, both of Kaysville; 20 g~d. in the Morgan Stake Chapel .
