I have also included some information about the John Mathews House (which may be the prototype for both the McCune and Taylor Houses) that was built in 1891-92 at Riverside Drive and 90 th Street, in NYC (demolished in the 1920s). The McCune Mansion was designed by S.c. Dallas and built in 1901. Reportedly Dallas spent two years traveling in the East and Europe researching for this project, but it's pretty obvious he had some strong connection to the Mathews House. Any information and photos you could provide of the Taylor House would be greatly appreciated and we can further explore the connection between these houses. We could even exchange more information and better photographs if you or the Watertown historian would be interested. Thank you again for your assistance. Please let me know if you have any questions. You can reach me at 801/533-3562 or at cshepher@history.state.ut.us. Sincerely, Charles M.
