He believes that when he went from the junction to Greenriver in the motor boat, El Rita, taking his reports, that he made the trip in three days. On this trip he went up the [ Colorado] River to Moab, and overland to Greenriver, returning from Greenriver to the junction in a motor boat, on the fifth of September. R. 2131. The motor boatman, a man by the name of Shaw, went with him on this trip, from the junction to Moab; and he believes on over to Greenriver with him. After he finished his business at Greenriver, he went back to Moab, and then down to the junction in the same boat. R. 2131- 2132. " BY THE SPECIAL MASTER: " Q. Now, let's get it clear. The first trip to Moab you made with this man named Shaw? " A. Yes, sir. " Q. You both came back? " A. Yes. " Q. The second trip you went up to Moab, who did you go with -- I mean, did you go with some one? " A. Yes; we went up in the same motor boat, I think, " Q.
