Any other trips than which? " Q. Than you have mentioned. " Q. Mr. Loper waded down the San Juan eleven miles to a cache at the mouth of the San Juan, and I think brought back some flour at one time." R. 849. At a point about seventy- six miles above Lees Ferry on the Colorado river, the cook and Mr. Allen, the recorded, left the party and went down to Lees Ferry, piloted by Mr. Loper in a row boat. The party was just below the mouth of the Aztec Creek when Mr. Loper returned. When he returned he had with him another cook. He went down in a sixteen foot row boat and came back on the power boat that brought provisions up the river to the survey parties and which was piloted by Mr. Marrs. R. 950- 952.
