" Q. In the state of Utah. " A. I am not certain of the location of Whirlpool and Split Mountain Canyon. There are rapids in both those canyons. " Q. Whirlpool and split Mountain Canyon are both of them in the state of Utah. " Just tell about coming through there. " A. The first rapids were in Whirlpool Canyon, if that is the first canyon, and I believe it is. Near the head of the canyon there are numerous other rapids throughout, until Island Park was reached."
