A pumping plant will be required at the lower end of the main drain. Pumping system. -*rThe pumping portion of the project, which covers the area of the Parker bench, has not been worked out in -detail and therefore the plan and estimate herein are very rough. A pumping plant will be required to pump from the main canal near its head, and, as the bench slopes toward the river, a long pipe line will be required with probably a second lift. The average lift will be-approximately 135 feet. The distribution system of the mesa lands is to be concrete lined.
