DIRECT EXAMINATION By Mr. Blackmar: Q Now, Mr. Miser, you were ask this morning about previous maps that have been made of the San Juan and the San Juan country. I show you Exhibits 500 and 501, and ask you to state what those exhibits are ( handing papers to wit-ness) ? A ( Examining papers) Exhibit 500 is Plate 9 in Bulletin 471 of the United States Geological Survey. Q Well, what is it a map of? A It is a map of a portion of San Juan River, extend-ing from a point near the mouth of Chinle Creek down to and a few miles beyond Huniker Trail. And Exhibit 501 is a geological map of the same country. Those two maps were carried through the country by myself. Q Exhibit 499, which appears to be a booklet, what is that ( handing book to witness) ? A ( Examination book) That is a report by E. G. Woddruff, on the Geology of the San Juan Oil Field, Utah. |
