A Yes, sir, in general, that is true. Q And that during these flood times, as the river rose the solid content increased? A Yes, sir. Q Nevertheless, as I understand you, on this date when the highest peak shown on Exhibit 497 occurred, your solid content was only something like 11 per cent -- something less than 18 per cent ( handing paper to witness)? A ( Examining paper) As the river rose, the silt did go up, but I stated back there that the peak of discharge was not reached until the next day, on a falling stage of silt. |
