Show 5819 Howard - X 3819 267 266 & - A Well, this figure that is quoted there ( indicating) for the San Juan, with 60,000,000 tons, was based on a mathematical average of 1.6, and that figure was a little lower than was obtained by the Bureau of Reclamation in 1915 and 1916, over a period of a year. So that I thought that I was using a conservative figure if I used that for my yearly basis. I would have got a much larger figure if I had put these results for September in, when we get these enormous fluctuations, than you had in the period you have just cited. Q I am not questioning your figures. I am merely trying to get an idea of how you made them up. A I took that particular figure. I realized that I was using a figure for a period in which I had no samples; but I set my figures alongside other figures, and I believed the figures were not too high, and therefore I could get a conservative estimate. The figure is the poorest one I gave you because it is based on too few samples; but for the sake of comparison, I put in. By Mr. Farnsworth: Q That is, the 1.6 percentage, you mean? |
