Show 349 River, Wyoming, to the irrigation dam about nine miles up the river from Greenriver, Utah. He was also on the San Juan River near the Four Corners. R. 896- 897. The boats used on the trip from GreenRiver, Wyoming, to the irrigation dam above Greenriver, Utah, were eighteen foot Galloway type boats with covered decks fore and aft, cookpit in the center, five foot beam, with a rake of about four inches, flat- bottom, non- keel. There were seven men in the party, headed by Mr. Trimble, The boats empty drew about four inches of water, with a one thousand pound load excluding men they drew about eight inches, or slightly more. There were two men in two of the boats and three in another. He was employed as boatman and rod man. R. 898- 899.
