Show CHILD PHYSICAL AND SEXUAL ABUSE CHILD ABUSE The annual number of substantiated child abuse and neglect victims in Utah has more than doubled since 1983 (Table 86, Figure 53). This may be indicative of either more public awareness about child abuse, an increase in child abuse investigators and reported cases (more investigators will find more cases), or an increase in the number of actual victims.
