Show DRINKING AND DRIVING (Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance Survey) According to the BRFSS, Utah is below the U.S. median in the percentage of the population 18 years and older who report having too much to drink before driving (Table 76, Figure 51). Nine states had lower percentages than Utah in 1992; and despite some fluctuations, there has been a general decline in the numbers of those drinking and driving throughout the United States.
