Show EXERCISE, LEISURE, OR PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES: NO LEISURE-TIME PHYSICAL ACTIVITY (Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance Survey) A high percentage of Utahns report that they engage in some form of leisure-time physical activity, with only 21.7% of the respondents reporting no exercise, recreation, or physical activity during the previous month (Table 71, Figure 45). In 1992, only six states had a lower percentage of respondents reporting a lack of physical activity. Despite all the media attention on the benefits of exercise, there does not seem to be any consistent change in Utah or in the U.S. regarding reported physical activity.
