Show SYPHILIS BY GENDER Males and females in Utah have a much lower incidence of syphilis than the nation (Table 62, Figure 38). Since 1988, the Utah rate has declined faster than the national rate. The rate for Utah males has fluctuated over the years shown. However, it remains below the national rate for males and females.
