Show rTHE JUNIOR TEAMInter-Class Football class of 1911 again succeeded in winning the class football series. All the classes were well represented, the Freshmen being exceptionally strong and the games were hard fought throughout. The final game between the Juniors and Freshmen was the best class game ever played at the University. Both teams were determined to win and both fought with a spirit and doggedness which is seldom seen, except in inter-collegiate games.Games PlayedOctober 21......Juniors 11, Seniors 0 October 22...........Freshmen 5, Sophs 0October 25......Juniors 12, Freshmen 0Junior LineupB. FullbackFaculty versus Seniors HIS game was a comedy of errors. Despite their age and decrepit ap- pearance the professors forced the game all the way, showing superior ability throughout. Coach Maddock's line plunging, and Professor Reynold's novel manner of carrying the ball were the features of the contest. Captain Roberts, in spite of "the most decisive cold in history," was a tower of strength to the Faculty team.(202 )THE FACULTY TEAM |
