Show The Student CourtEstablished April 19, 1909, for the trial of such students as did not assist in white-washing the "U."NDIGNATION against recalcitrants ran high. One Bogart was tried and executed by lynch law. The proceedings of the Court may be summed up in a few quotations taken from the Court Records.Bailiff Perry: "Hear ye! Hear ye! Hear ye! The Student Court of the University of Utah is now in session!"Prosecuting Attorney R. W. Young: "Your Honor, I object to the question as impertinent, irrelevant, and not pertaining to the case."Judge Watson: "Sustained." Foreman of the Jury: "May it please the Court, we find the defendant guilty in the first degree and recommend the extreme penalty."Judge Edward Watson: "Mr. --------, you have been found guilty in thefirst degree of absenting yourself from the "U" on the 16th day of this month, and I now fine you the sum of one dollar, in default whereof your hair will be cut by order of this Court."Bailiff Perry: "Hear ye!
