Show KindergartenHE Kindergarten girls, what can we say of them ? Truly theirs is a useful work; a study in psychology, if you please. Into their busy work room they take the young child, who has not yet been outside the influence of the home, and instil into his mind the first basic principles of social life. In the evening they invite into the work-room the young men of the University and teach them how to enjoy themselves by games and pranks. Assuredly, 'tis a deserving labor. So much for their work. Now, what of themselves ? A glance at their faces shows an unusual degree of beauty. Modesty, likewise, they have in proper measure. Indeed, so modest are they that they refused to write anything concerning themselves because to say all the good things they deserve would sound like boasting. But, nevertheless, they have a rightful amount of self-reverence. They did not hesitate to tell the writer just what should or should not be said about them. Truly, they possess a rare combination of humility and self-appreciation.Their parties, too, are a treat. Good hostesses are they, and full of life- but we are forbidden to call them athletic. A Kindergarten party is a splendid lesson in good fellowship and healthful fun. Get acquainted with the Kindergarten girls; there are none finer in the University. The GirlsHelen Denny Iris Campbell Nevada Dewar Ina Johnson Martha Smith Vera Feuger May Brown Glenn Thomas Marie Cushing Rhoda Rasmussen Flora McCanne Mildred Krebs Florence Alt Katherine Graham Alice Grey(90) |
