Show H. Lacelle Cummings, Jr.ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING.SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH.Amici Fidissimi. Engineering Society.1906-07-Assistant Manager '08 "Utonian." 1909-10-President Electrical Engineering Society.I do not quite remember where I was born, but most of my time as a child was spent in Springville. When six years of age I entered school and found my soul mate. At seven I had changed my mind about her and thought the same about another. Eight years of age saw another change. At nine I thought I was sure, but at ten I had changed again. My history has varied in this way every year of my life, but now that I am about to graduate, I have decided that I can't sometimes most always tell. Otherwise, my University course has been very profitable.Clarence C. JacobCIVIL ENGINEERING. PROVO, UTAH.Engineering Society.1906-09-Student B. Y. U. 1908-09-Editor White and Blue.Something happened at the B. Y. U., last year, and when the smoke cleared away Jacob was in our midst. He has but one disagreeable habit and that is his reference to the B. Y. U. as "we" and the U. of U. as "they." He is credited with having expressed the sentiment that he is not in the engineering profession for the "filthy lucre." The engineers are puzzled about his object-whether he intends to raise the ethics of the job or to "scab" on the rest of the bunch who are less philanthropic. Nevertheless it is generally considered that Dr. Pack and Jacob came from the same Pre-Cambrian strata because of similarity of hirsute growth on the "clinodome."(51) |
